5 DAYS / FAMILY PACE
Singapore 5-day itinerary with kids
This family route protects breaks and avoids two headline tickets on the same day. Adapt each stop to children’s ages, mobility and interests; attraction rules vary.
By sgtripify editorial · Plan revised 8 October 2026 · 5 full sightseeing days
The rhythm: A morning anchor, midday food and rest, then an optional shorter afternoon. Keep a backup payment method and a familiar return route.
Check the linked attraction guides for dated hours and admission snapshots, then confirm the operator's live calendar for your travel dates. Arrivals and departures need their own buffer; shorten a day if your flights overlap it.
SINGAPORE WITH KIDS
Adjust this family itinerary before booking
One main ticket per day
Choose the activity your children most want, then make the rest optional. Check age and height restrictions with the attraction before buying.
Keep the hotel return simple
Compare the whole walk and transfer with tired children. Our Singapore accommodation area guide helps you choose a base around the route.
Plan meals and rest
Save a nearby lunch option and a sheltered break. Carry the essentials your family needs rather than depending on a shop at every stop.
Check the airport vehicle
For a private transfer, tell the provider your passenger and luggage counts and ask about a suitable child seat. Compare options in the airport arrival guide.
DAY 01
Waterfront and Gardens
Morning
Begin with one short Marina Bay walk rather than the entire promenade. Take photos, locate a shaded or indoor break and keep the first morning forgiving after travel.
Afternoon
Choose one Gardens by the Bay conservatory if the children will enjoy it, or stay on outdoor paths if budget and weather suit. Check attraction closures and last entry.
Evening
Eat early. A skyline stroll can be lovely, but a tired child does not owe the itinerary a late light show.
DAY 02
Singapore Zoo
Morning
Travel to Mandai for an early Zoo start. Let each child choose a priority animal or area from the current map, then follow that interest rather than a forced full circuit.
Afternoon
Break for lunch and use the included tram to save energy. Check presentation times and closures; promise the experience, not a particular animal sighting.
Evening
Return for a quiet dinner. Keep Night Safari for another trip or a family whose children comfortably handle a much later finish.
DAY 03
Sentosa theme park or beach
Morning
Choose Universal Studios if rides are the family priority; check each ride’s restrictions and your dated ticket first. Otherwise make this a beach-led day with a simple plan for changing and meals.
Afternoon
Stay with one anchor. Allow queues, sun and weather to change your pace, and avoid a second expensive booking.
Evening
Eat near your exit and return without a tight connection. The point of a full Sentosa day is to enjoy it, not to collect every attraction.
DAY 04
Botanic Gardens and an indoor choice
Morning
Make a shorter Botanic Gardens walk, using the entrance closest to your chosen collection or play interest. Bring water and check the Orchid Garden separately if planned.
Afternoon
After a long rest, choose an ArtScience exhibition suited to your children’s ages or another indoor stop. Read sensory and ticket details for the current show.
Evening
Have a familiar, low-pressure dinner. This gentler day restores energy after Mandai and Sentosa.
DAY 05
A flexible city day, then Jewel if it fits
Morning
For a full sightseeing day, revisit a favourite garden or choose a short Fort Canning heritage route. If this is instead your departure day, keep the morning near your hotel.
Afternoon
Families with a late flight can consider Jewel’s Canopy Park: its S$8 basic ticket has specific inclusions and height rules. Confirm landside access, luggage arrangements and terminal transfers first.
Evening
If you have a sixth travel day, enjoy an easy final city meal. If your flight is tonight, make airport travel the fixed commitment and leave immigration and boarding buffers.
Turn the route into your trip
Start with accommodation and transport, then book only the attractions you would be disappointed to miss. Use the rest of the day as a flexible outline. If heavy rain or heat interrupts an outdoor block, switch to an indoor choice you already checked rather than racing between distant districts.
